Season 3 of B.J. Fletcher to Premier in February 2012!
Posted on Friday, November 18, 2011
At long last, the Fletcher update we've all been waiting for!
I am more than happy to report that filming has wrapped up on the third season of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye. There will be a total of five new episodes headed your way in February of 2012, bringing our wicked awesome webseries to an exciting and climactic conclusion. We will also be doing some extra webisodes which will include behind-the-scenes action, interviews, and of course, hilarious outtakes. Everyone here at Bee Charmer Productions is very excited to bring this new content to our supportive and fantastic fans and audience.
It's been an exciting three months of production, all made possible by the amazing donations we received during our fundraising campaign. There were hilarious and enjoyable times had by all, including some very talented guest stars. As always, we were blessed by the coming together of some incredibly gifted artists. Lindy Zucker and Dana Puddicombe were in fine Fletch and George form. Now begins the exciting process of post production.
We are also eager to unveil our brand new website, which is currently in the skilled and talented hands of Fletcher Producer, Rochelle Dancel, and will hit the web in January 2012. It promises to be even more interactive and integrated than ever before, providing fans with more ways to interact with us here at the show.
For all of our incredibly supportive and amazing funders who have some sweet Fletcher perks headed their way, know that we are currently in the process of fulfilling them. Look for an email in the coming weeks with more details.
As always, friends, thank you for the support and Fletcher love. We are excited to embark on this ultimate chapter of Fletcher goodness with you!
Lock & Load!

Filming Begins on Season 3. Lock and Load!
Posted on Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Over the past three weeks, filming has begun on Season 3 of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye. And what a blast we are having. Don't get me wrong, production is some serious work, but I am happy to say that with this group of people, the work is seriously fun!
It's been great to once again work with our talented cast and crew. Also incredibly fantastic has been the support we've received from our amazing fans. There is still one week left to go in our IndieGoGo campaign. Still thinking of donating? Do! Every dollar helps us to create this fun and unique web series. We very much appreciate the support that enables us to bring this series to you. Here's the link for you to donate now!
If you'd like to follow us along on this production journey, we post pics from filming days on our facebook page. There are already lots of gems up there! We also often live-tweet from the set via our @bjfletcherpi twitter stream.
We can't wait to share the latest exploits of our dynamic duo with you. Stay tuned!

B.J. Fletcher Season 3 Pre-Production Underway!
Posted on Sunday, August 14, 2011
We're well on our way now, friends! We have raised an amazing $3035. Wicked awesome! A huge thanks to the fans that have made it happen.
I'm sure it comes as no surprise to learn that the course of Season 3 has been plotted for some time. We are so excited that we are able to bring the continuing story of these characters to you. The real question is, how much of the process should we reveal? We will be tweeting pictures and updates throughout, as well as keeping our facebook page up to date. Those are probably the best two sources for keeping in the loop. It also never hurts to join our emailing list!
The scripts are forming up nicely. We should have them locked by the end of the week. I have just written a hilarious scene for Mrs Watson and Mrs Drew (George and Jenna's mothers). Love those characters, moreover, specifically love the actresses who play them. Great chemistry and amazing comedic timing. We are so excited to work with them again.
There is a production meeting on Wednesday when we will read through the scripts. I shall tweet a picture or two. Til the next time...lock and load, friends!

B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye Season 3 - Let's Roll!
Posted on Friday, July 29, 2011
Amazing! Simply amazing. We have, in three weeks of fundraising, surpassed our goal to raise $2500 dollars to help us make a third season of the series. I am overwhelmed by the wicked awesome support shown by fans and friends alike. If you haven't yet, have a look at our Fundraising Page. We are at 49 incredible funders, and have raised $2930 so far. For those who have donated and are set to receive some cool Fletcher perks, we will be fulfilling them at the end of the fundraising campaign! If you haven't donated yet, but still want to help us out, please do! Our campaign runs through the end of September. Everything counts. Everything helps. As I said in my previous post, exactly how much we are able to do will depend on the total amount we raise. That said, we have reached our initial goal, and are now getting down to some serious Fletcheriffic work!
Over the next few months, as production resumes, I will be posting bi-weekly updates on this blog. You can also follow us on Twitter, or Facebook where we will be frequently posting tidbits, pics and thoughts about all the action going on during the production and filming process.
These are very exciting Fletchertastic times, my friends. Again, thank you so much for the continued support. Thank you to those who religiously retweeted our funding quest, shared our fundraising link, and have been wicked awesome champions of our series. Also, a big shout out to the amazing Linster who wrote an incredible blog post regarding our return and fundraising efforts.
So, stay tuned for the continuing saga of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye as we embark on our exciting third season journey. Here's a little reminder of where we left off. Let's roll!

New Episodes of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye? Wicked Awesome!
Posted on Wednesday, July 6, 2011
Well, I can't say you all haven't been patient. Yes, the rumours are true. New episodes of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye will be headed your way this Fall!
It's been a long wait. Believe me, I know. The cast and creative team will be reuniting this summer to film all new episodes of B.J. Fletcher! How many episodes? That will be determined by the result of our fundraising efforts. We have launched the Fletcher Fundraising Campaign on Indiegogo where we hope to raise funds to aid us in our production costs. We have already held our kickoff fundraiser during Pride Week at the Toronto Women's Bookstore, where a wicked awesome time was had by all, including invited guest Renee Olbert of Seeking Simone. It was a fun evening of questions and answers, as well as screenings of our respective shows. If you missed the event, you can catch a recording of the livestream here.
We are all so excited to be able to continue telling this story...and especially, and most importantly, to see what happens with the Fletcher/George/Jenna triangle. Is it a Season 3? For all intensive purposes, absolutely. Will it be ten episodes, as our past seasons have been? I hesitate to say. Whatever we do, there will be well fleshed out creative arcs for all the characters involved, and we'll certainly be satisfying some long lingering, unanswered questions.
So, what about the TV development deal? While I can't really go into details regarding that, we are absolutely still pursuing that avenue. Development can be an extensively long process as I have found out (the series Mad Men was ten years in development before it got on the air)! The ideas we are pursuing for bringing the series to television would take Fletcher back to the beginning. I want to finish the stories we have already started, in the medium that we started them in. Continuing with the series on the web, through the support of the fans, gives us the freedom to do just that.
The last couple of years in development have been an interesting learning curve for us. We've been successful in meeting with a number of networks; however, we were disappointed at the requests that were made, which would have compromised the creative integrity of the show. And really, if we'd lost that, what would the point have been?
So, once again, I'd like to thank our wicked awesome fans for the continued support. Check out our Fundraising Page (there are some perks on there you might want to check out too), and if you'd like to help us out, please make a donation!
In the meantine, stay tuned to this blog, our website, twitter and facebook for all the latest developments and updates.
Thanks, friends. There's wicked awesome times ahead!

Posted on Monday, June 13, 2011

As part of Pride Week celebrations, Fletcher has accepted an invitation to screen at the Toronto Women's Bookstore. We're into sharing the love at Fletcher, so we were thrilled when our friends at Seeking Simone agreed to come along too!
Our own Regan Latimer and Lindy Zucker will be joined by Seeking Simone's Renee Olbert for an evening of curated screenings of B.J. Fletcher: Private Eye and Seeking Simone and an intimate Q&A panel discussion where you can ask us anything you want (pretty much!).
Venue: Toronto Women's Bookstore, 73 Harbord Street [Google Maps link]
Time: 8pm
Date: 30th June 2011
Tickets: $10
Advanced tickets are available from the Toronto Women's Bookstore - call 416 922 8744 for more info.
Proceeds from the event will go towards enabling both shows to continue production, so grab your friends and come out to support some homegrown talent!
If you can't make it to Toronto, you can still take part in the event and submit your questions by tuning in to the livestream at www.livestream.com/facingout
Wherever you are, whatever you do, whoever you do it with, have a very Happy Pride!

Good times with some wicked awesome talent!
Posted on Tuesday, November 30, 2010
Last night I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening meeting with some very talented webseries creators. Organized by the Out With Dad team leader, Jason Leaver, this meet-up included Jason's fellow producer Eric Taylor, Seeking Simone's lovely Renee Olbert, and Anyone But Me's wicked awesome Tina Cesa Ward.
Lots of laughs and shared stories, but one of the best parts was actually getting to meet with these people - who I had only ever communicated with online - in person! Sometimes, making a webseries is a lonely man's game. It was great to get together with other people on a similar journey. If you haven't checked out some of these shows yet...do it! Do it now!

How many people does it take to thank our volunteers?

On Fletcher, it's a team effort.
Our recent trip to Cologne would not have been possible without the invaluable assistance of Noah, Michelle and Martina, great fans of the show that volunteered to translate over an hour of Fletcher goodness into German so that we could subtitle the show.
So a couple of weeks ago, Lindy, Dana, Vanessa, Regan, Jonathan, Sean and Rikki took time out from their crazy summer schedules to sign some thank you notes to our volunteers. They arrived in London this week (the thank you notes, not the team, alas!) and I met up with Karim to add our thanks.

Our volunteers will also be receiving limited edition t-shirts, stickers and buttons. So Noah, Michelle and Martina, welcome to Team Fletcher, and from us to you - danke schön!

As we've been tweeting over the last few weeks, we were honoured to be part of One More Lesbian's Theatre Nights in Cologne, Germany, last week. Part of the festivities of the Gay Games 2010, this showcase of web series from around the world put Fletcher in pretty great company alongside Seeking Simone, Cherry Bomb, Real Girls Guide To Everything Else, We Have To Stop Now and Emma Stahl. The red carpet was hosted by comedian Bridget McManus for AfterEllen.com's coverage of the event (right, teasing me about wearing red on the red carpet!).
I had a great time meeting all the fans – old and new – so thank you so much for turning out to support us! There is something quite thrilling at staring up at Fletcher on a cinema screen 15ft high when you've been used to watching it on your laptop. Hearing the trumpets in surround sound at the start of our opening credits was enough to wake the dead and it took me a while to realise that I had stopped breathing because I was geeking out! Thanks again to Martina, Noah and Michelle for helping us provide the subtitles for our German audience.
I was also happily reunited with the team from eurOut, including founder Sandra Showtime and Editor In Chief, Saskia Joreen, as well as many of their contributing writers from across Europe. It was also great to meet people from other shows; in fact, I watched Emma Stahl sitting next to Emma Stahl herself, actress Meike Gottschalk (left here, with eurOut's Saskia Joreen at the closing ceremony of the Gay Games 2010).I'm going to take away a lot of memories from this trip: dancing to Lady Gaga with four other floors of women at Bound Magazine's Triumph and Temptation party; doing an interview with Saskia from eurOut whilst we swam in my hotel pool; panic buying for the white party with a number of Gay Games atheletes that were also unaware of the closing night party's dress code; watching mixed pairs ballroom dancing; debating our favourite web series in the WomenPlace tent, and being called prissy by the lovely Bridget McManus whilst sat on the pavement after midnight drinking after the closing ceremony.
Thank you to One More Lesbian for hosting such a great event, to Daniela Zysk, Gay Games oganiser of the WomenPlace, for taking such good care of us, and to all of the amazing participants that we met who shared their stories, their experiences and laughter and made this trip such an amazing experience!
